These hand-crafted baskets are woven from dry stem of water hyacinth from Siem Reap Cambodia. This invasive aquatic plant is pulled from the lake to alleviate the blocking of the waterways. The dry stems are then used by local women who weave them into usable products such as mats, hammocks, bags and this basket.
The basket comes in one size: 17.5” length, 13” width and 6” tall.
The mat insert is also hand-woven out of polyster elastic fabric.
The mat size: 19” length, 12.5 width and 1” thick.
Mat is machine washable in cold water. Lay flat to dry or dry on low.
